Fortunes?

So today,
against my better judgment,
I added the fortune cookie ap on Facebook.

Yea, I know.

Having a Facebook is bad enough,
Right?

Well anyway, I opened it.

Of course it's the most depressing thing I've ever read.
It hit home.

"Your first love hasn't forgotten you."

Yes, I'm aware.
I am a petty 11th grader.
(a.k.a. typical high school girl)

No, I'm not proud of it.

BUT that fortune really packed a mean punch.

He-who-will-remain-nameless-and I were together for a year and a half
give or take.

We broke up over summer.
As happens often to couples in high school.

The thing is,
he was different.

At least to me he was.

We're still friends.
Which is rare.

But I miss him more every day.

It seems awful, I know.

But I sure do love that boy,
even if our situation makes it hard for us to function together.

I'm lucky we still talk,
but I just want to see him again.

There's my stupid story.

Yes, hello, my name IS pathetic.

My Guilty Pleasures

Project Runway
America's Next Top Model
Wearing socks with sandals
Singing in the car with my mother
Playing "house" with my little sisters
Laughing at the TV
Yelling at the TV
Crying to "The Notebook"
"Running" in the grass with barefeet
Making fun of people that do good things
People watching
Watching "Fashion Police" on "E" (the network on TV, not the drug)

and my most embarassing guilty pleasure...

HALL & OATS

My goal for this week: Getting one gosh darn comment. (pretty pathetic, I know)

Saturday (Homework Day)

I need to get some friends.

"The times we had

Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow

Were not all bad

We put our feet just where they had, had to go

Never to go

The shattered soul

Following close but nearly twice as slow

In my good times

There were always golden rocks to throw

At those who admit defeat too late

Those were our times, those were our times

And I will love to see that day

That day is mine

When she will marry me outside with the willow trees

And play the songs we made

They made me so

And I would love to see that day

Her day was mine "

Beirut is my only friend.

After School

It's official,
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
is my new favorite movie,
as well as my new favorite book.

It is just a wonderful movie,
on it's own it blows my mind,
but it matches the book so well,
better than a lot of movies usually do.

off topic:
This show on "E"
I think it's called "Jerseylicious"
it's the main subject on The Soup
'nough said.

School

Today was the usual,
Marine Biology - surprisingly lacking life
Mathematics - more procrastinating
AP US History - the quiz gods smiled down at us
Teacher's Assistant - those poor freshmen
Honors English - once again, McB finds another way to inspire us
French 2 - Elle est une grande technicienne.

Watching my favorite movie of all time.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

the genious of Gene Wilder and Mel Stuart

a shout out to McB
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is on videos on demand!

Tonight

Dissapointment.
Fear.
That's what I'm feeling.
I should've known.
I should've seen it.

I suppose in this life,
we bring our troubles
among ourselves.

Love wins.
Hearts lose.

Today

It's the start.
Good?
Bad?
I don't know,
it's the beggining,
NOT the end.
We'll see.
