I have a friend...(reply to his song)

Despite the way he makes me feel,
(which is mostly angry and sad)
he did something that surprised me.

He wrote a song,
and though it wasn't exactly for me,
it was inspired by me.

(not in a good way)

Now, we've both been bad friends to each other lately,
but I was very hurt about something he'd done (recently).

I don't want to specify.

Anyway,
he wrote a song,
so I figured I'd write one back.

I call it,
"One day at a time"

("sounds like a country song!" -old man in "The Wedding Singer")
(it isn't.)

Once in a while,
I lose my cool.
I yell at you,
I cry on the phone.

I try and tell you exactly how I feel,
it always makes sense in my mind,
but it never comes out right.

I try every day,
but you still won't stay.
There's always something,
usually a someone else too.

I look at you.
I feel ok.
I look at us,
day after day.

one day at a time.

*crowd cheers!*
*CHLOE KEEDY points out obvious mistakes (such as it is petty/ has no bridge)*

Well,
If you read this (referring to him)
then,
well let me know.

Hair cut! :D / Poem

Today I got a hair cut,
It's really short :O

Well, you will all see it on Monday(:

While sitting in the spinning chair,
I realized that I've still not finished my poem for  McBride.

And then I realized that I'm in a room with 20 women. ohhh and one gay guy.

Here it goes:

"It's really hard"
"She tells me things that she doesn't even tell her own daughter"
"I'm taking a psychologyclass at Chaffey"
"Human emotions are so interesting"
"Now that your hair is longer..."
"I don't even ask anymore"
"It dries faster than damaged hair"
"I want this dress in white"
"It's too tight"
"It's so hard"
"roll her over, grab her, and throw her over the bed"
"She never has"
"The only time she ever spit up was..."
"I thought it was longer than that"
"WHY?!"
"Hi Bill"
"I noticed it more"
"down down down"
"No! HELP ME!"
"I'm fallin' in love again"
(clack clack clack)
"The JZ song was on"
(pump pump pump)
"You've been on the Internet haven't you?!"
"She is a social worker"
"I will pass out"
"seriously"
"Like surgery? uh-uh (no)"
"you know how they put you to sleep?"
"It's just my teeth"
"She was my age"
"Bi curious"
"I didn't know what to look for"
"Seriously"
"Shouldn't you just test her"
"I seriously passed out"
(smile)
"You're gonna crack yo head open!"
"I can't look"
"Test her!"
(blow drier)
"Driver's ed?"
"Her one year old is totally fine one day"

So, there's a lot more, but I'm sure I have enough.
I'm excited about writing it now! :D

Chloe, have you ever noticed that the music they play at the salon usually sounds like dancing music?
I'm not in the mood to dance, I'm in the mood to get my hair cut.

Rehab: Party at the not-so Hard Rock Hotel

I turned on my television at exactly 7 o'clock.
Every Tuesday, my mother and I watch "Rehab! Party at the Hard Rock Hotel"

Every Tuesday, I ask myself,
"Where's the rock?" (referring of course to the music)

Sometimes, they have some tones that could be considered "rock"
but wheres the real soul?
The rock that we all grew up with?

All of the musical guests that they have at this massive Sunday afternoon orgy are,
you guessed it,
Rap/Hip Hop
(Whatever that is anymore)

Anyway,
I'm insulted,
I ask you producers of this sad excuse for a show:
Where is the good 'ol Rock and Roll?
Also, why do I keep watching it?

Monday, November 8, 2010

I will let you down.

Unfortunatly, I haven't been blogging since exactly one month ago.

I've had a difficult few weeks,
but I think it's time to change.

I've gone through an experience that I don't much like,
but I think it's time to move on.

To you, my followers, I appologize.
I know my blog was the most important thing in your life ;)

So,
time to catch up:

I've fallen in love.
With a couple new bands that is,
Bon Iver
and
Local Natives

You need to listen to these bands.

Bon Iver is amazing.
I would've not gotten through these past few weeks without this band.
Instead of describing them, I think it's nessesary that you look them up on your own.

Local Natives are so incredibly gifted.
I hope to one day have a fifth of the talent they have.
"Airplanes" is the first song I heard from them,
because of my experiences, I cried.
I highly recomend you check it out.

Today, I was to turn in my English project,
which I did.
CHLOE yours was awesome and I think we both deserve an awesome over-achiever's award.

McB, I must get an "A"
(prefferrably an "A+")
thank you for opening my eyes to the art of literature and poetry.

Well,
talk to ya tomorrow :)
I promise.

Today, I made a cake.

This morning,
I awoke to the sweet music of...
my little sisters screaming at my mother.

This is the conversation:

Emma (11) "Like mom, seriously, I HAVE to go to knott's scary farm tomorrow night!"
Mother     "Emma, you are 11, you aren't very brave, and you don't even sleep in your own bed after watching a scary movie. You won't be able to handle it"
Emma "Like mommmmmmaaahh! >:( YOU SAID I COULD!"
Mother  "No I did not. Go get ready for school"
Emma "I DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOU!"
Mother "yes you do."
Emma "FINE!" (stomping noise and then slammed door)

This is the conversation between my mother and my other sister Abby:

Abby(10?) "..."
Mother "Abby?"
Abby "..."
Mother "ABBY!"
Abby "..."
Mother "Abby, you need to make sure you are ready to go by the time I get home from dropping off Emma"
Abby "..." (noises from the TV)

Mother takes Emma, and returns.

Mother "Abby! Let's go!"
Abby "fine fine.."
 (walks into the room)
Mother "YOU DIDN'T BRUSH YOUR HAIR!"
Abby "I thought you said I had to be out of bed by the time you got home"
Mother "NO! you were supposed to BE ready"
Abby "FINE!" (stomping noises and a door slam)

You can clearly see why I'm glad to have a day off when they don't.

So, Wednesday was my best friend Heidi's birthday,
and today we are..
PARTYING!!! WOO!

BUT I needed to make her a cake,
so I did.

and it is beautiful!
There is a yeti on it!

These are a few of my favorite things...

NOT The Sound of Music!

These are a few of my favorite books:

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
It's Kind of a Funny Story
Post Secrets
Fight Club
The Broom of the System
A Clockwork Orange

That's right McB, I've read it and it is awesome.

Ok,
Music:
Beirut
Death Cab for Cutie
Modest Mouse
The Flight of the Conchords
Journey
Muse
The Hold Steady
The Blood Brothers
Against Me
Mumford and Sons

Yes, that IS a beast instrument.

now for TV

I only like 3 things.

1. The Office
(for me, it's the best thing since sliced bread)

2. Saturday Night Live
(I've seen every episode since the very first. Chris Farley is the greatest comedian of all time in my opinion)

3. South Park
(I need some ridiculous satire from time to time)

I'm bored now.
"Stay Cool" -Mr. McBride

This is for my wonderful mother(:

So I decided that my mother would read my blog...
IF
I blogged about one of her favorite shows!
DANCING WITH THE STARS!

yeaaaa, I'm not a huge fan,
but I have to admit,
it is entertaining,

when bad things happen!
MUUAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

ok, so I'm not exactly updated,
but the first week,
David Hasselhoff got eliminated.

Like that's a big surprise,
he thinks he's some kind of sex symbol.

Does THIS look like a sex symbol?

HECK NO!

now, he danced to the song "Sex Bomb" by... geeze I don't know
It was simply awful.

Now Hasselhoff has had a pretty good run,
he was in Night Rider,
Bay Watch
and America's Got Talent.

He had a good run,
BUT HE NEEDS TO STOP.

So, I dub thee David Hasselhoff,
EPIC FAIL.

hopefully I won't remember this...

P.S.
CHLOE KEEDY,

you are awesome, who cares if McB doesn't follow you,
he's not as cool as ME
and I follow you...so yea :D
I LOVE YOU CHLOE<3

Why Wednesdays are bitter sweet.

I thought today was going to be a good one.
I thought that I had something to be excited about.
I thought today I wouldn't take punch after punch in the gut.
I thought MAYBE JUST MAYBE I would get a lucky break.

I thought wrong.
What else is new?

When I woke up this morning,
I was so excited.

DAY 1 of radical honesty went as followed:

-I spoke in English (my favorite class)
-and what happened?! some IDIOT copied my EXACT story RIGHT after I said it!
-guess who got more comments from our fearless leader?
          -THE VERY SAME IDIOT

-I attempted to speak to "the guy"
-it's obvious he's into someone else
  -fml

-I found out that I have driver's training tonight.
  -yeeaaa, raining AND dark
-also, I haven't actually practiced in weeks
(sorry to all your douches, I'm not a showoff and my parents aren't rich so I couldn't afford to get my permit on time, don't be such assholes just because you can drive. I'm not worried, you'll get yours for driving illegally with passengers in your vehical)

The bright side of my day was remembering this.

CHLOE!
- you should add, "Liz is not attractive to boys"

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

What would I do before I die?

I would live a week of radical honesty.

That way I could do all the things I wanted to do.

1. I would remove the filter between my thoughts and my speech.
2. I would answer ever question according to my imediate thought.

These are the things that I'm going to do.

-I'll tell that guy that he's cute(:
-I'll tell that chick that she needs to calm down.
-I'll explain to my lost friends that I really don't care what they're saying.
-I'll say my every thought.
-I'll talk in my favorite class.
-I'll turn around in AP US history and tell that douche everything that bugs me about him.
-I'll tell her what I really think about her habits.
-I'll walk over to that little asian kid and invite him to eat lunch with us.
-I'll tell that sophmore that she really needs to re-think her attitude with me.
-I'll tell the class that if they don't try, math is only going to get worse for them.
-I'll tell my councelor where she can stick her "apology candy".
-I'll show them, all of them, that I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid of your so called "high school ethics".

You'll see,
You'll all see.

or fear my yeti!

Fortunes?

So today,
against my better judgment,
I added the fortune cookie ap on Facebook.

Yea, I know.

Having a Facebook is bad enough,
Right?

Well anyway, I opened it.

Of course it's the most depressing thing I've ever read.
It hit home.

"Your first love hasn't forgotten you."

Yes, I'm aware.
I am a petty 11th grader.
(a.k.a. typical high school girl)

No, I'm not proud of it.

BUT that fortune really packed a mean punch.

He-who-will-remain-nameless-and I were together for a year and a half
give or take.

We broke up over summer.
As happens often to couples in high school.

The thing is,
he was different.

At least to me he was.

We're still friends.
Which is rare.

But I miss him more every day.

It seems awful, I know.

But I sure do love that boy,
even if our situation makes it hard for us to function together.

I'm lucky we still talk,
but I just want to see him again.

There's my stupid story.

Yes, hello, my name IS pathetic.

My Guilty Pleasures

Project Runway
America's Next Top Model
Wearing socks with sandals
Singing in the car with my mother
Playing "house" with my little sisters
Laughing at the TV
Yelling at the TV
Crying to "The Notebook"
"Running" in the grass with barefeet
Making fun of people that do good things
People watching
Watching "Fashion Police" on "E" (the network on TV, not the drug)

and my most embarassing guilty pleasure...

HALL & OATS

My goal for this week: Getting one gosh darn comment. (pretty pathetic, I know)

Saturday (Homework Day)

I need to get some friends.

"The times we had

Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow

Were not all bad

We put our feet just where they had, had to go

Never to go

The shattered soul

Following close but nearly twice as slow

In my good times

There were always golden rocks to throw

At those who admit defeat too late

Those were our times, those were our times

And I will love to see that day

That day is mine

When she will marry me outside with the willow trees

And play the songs we made

They made me so

And I would love to see that day

Her day was mine "

Beirut is my only friend.

After School

It's official,
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
is my new favorite movie,
as well as my new favorite book.

It is just a wonderful movie,
on it's own it blows my mind,
but it matches the book so well,
better than a lot of movies usually do.

off topic:
This show on "E"
I think it's called "Jerseylicious"
it's the main subject on The Soup
'nough said.

School

Today was the usual,
Marine Biology - surprisingly lacking life
Mathematics - more procrastinating
AP US History - the quiz gods smiled down at us
Teacher's Assistant - those poor freshmen
Honors English - once again, McB finds another way to inspire us
French 2 - Elle est une grande technicienne.

Watching my favorite movie of all time.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

the genious of Gene Wilder and Mel Stuart

a shout out to McB
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is on videos on demand!

Tonight

Dissapointment.
Fear.
That's what I'm feeling.
I should've known.
I should've seen it.

I suppose in this life,
we bring our troubles
among ourselves.

Love wins.
Hearts lose.

Today

It's the start.
Good?
Bad?
I don't know,
it's the beggining,
NOT the end.
We'll see.
